A teaching by Buddha says that health is the greatest gift, contentment being the greatest wealth and faithfulness the beats relationship. Truly, without a good health, people feel ungifted and unlucky. The overall health of a person refers to the condition that relates to the mind, body and the spirit and the state of being free of diseases and pain. It is a great task to keep a healthy body with all the vices and the temptations of unhealthy food that can obtained from everywhere. Public health officers often advise people to control fatty, sweet and processed foods. But because it makes us feel good and it also tastes good, people do not often heed their advice.
A good way to maintain a perfect body not only physically but also in its interior is proper diet and exercise. Regular exercise maintains the blood circulation of the body to run smoothly while diet ensures that the proper vitamin and minerals are sustained. With the numerous vitamins and medicines on the market today, people often forget the meaning of a “natural” diet. Medicine and pills are created by man and are prone to errors and side effects. Nature-produced food like vegetables and fruits, when eaten moderately and properly results to an illness-free life. Trees and plants do not produce fruits to intoxicate themselves. If fruits and vegetables were harmful for them, they would not produce it in the first place.
Every government has its program about the health issues in their particular countries. The main source of labor and production is still human labor. Not only health-wise, having a healthy population also improves the overall production of the economy. People that are fit are not bound by sickness when working. They also have more energy during work and more dedication in a project. This micro-analysis of a single work force when combined to create a macro-team of healthy people greatly affects the overall economic status of a country.
There are a lot of health factor for different nations worldwide. Some scientists believe that the health department of a nation is a major factor of a healthy population. Lifestyle, culture, practices, environment, government health policies, education and many more are also determinants of health. Because the term is a generic key word for a person’s wellbeing, health is a complex subject to discuss. With it come a lot of sub-categories that should be individually discussed to sum up a single idea. This is also true for a person. The general health may it be mental, physical or spiritual, is composed of a lot of factors that can be only discussed fully when looked into one by one. The general idea is to eat natural foods in moderation since anything taken in large amounts is considered unhealthy too.
